In early 00s I registered drgn.net, it stood for "dragon" but had a very in-demand 4-letter top level domain...or so I thought. I was going to be rich! Then it became my testbed for all things internet, then self-hosted email that eventually became important enough to move my testing somewhere else. This was painfully evident after a mid 00s nukephp installation got out of hand with email (oops!). Thanks to months of pain with my primary email being down, I learned to move my tests to my virtual lab, drgnworks. Originally this was just for coding and web projects but over the years it's become something I've branded into all my different crazy projects.
As I look back at those projects, I realized I rarely documented them. I've forgotten plenty of cool things I've learned that might have been helpful to others. Or at least posted in a place I could do a google search against and look back on. That's why I decided to revive drgnworks on a new platform in a new environment and start forcing myself to post about all the different that I'm working on. No promises on a solid schedule, only that posts I make will be informative to some degree.
